Nursing Considerations

  • may cause GI bleeding, hepatitis, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
  • may cause anaphylaxis
  • monitor for headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation
  • therapy should be discontinued after first sign of rash
  • monitor renal and liver labs
  • patient should avoid using alcohol
