  • extrapyramidal symptoms, tardive dyskinesia
  • use caution in QT prolongation
  • may cause seizures, constipation, dry mouth, agranulosytosis
  • assess for hallucinations
  • monitor hemodynamics
  • monitor for neuroleptic malignant syndrome (fever, muscular rigidity, altered mental status, and autonomic dysfunction)
  • monitor CBC with differential
